UKGI's Dave Anderson raises over £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support

UKGI's Head of Technical, Dave Anderson, has recently completed a Hyrox race for charity, raising over £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity close to his heart.

Hyrox is a global fitness race combining both running and functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.

Dave has asked us to share the following, "Reaching my fund raising target ahead of the event made all the difference in motivating me to get through things on the day. As anticipated, it was sheer hell!! It was genuinely the hardest physical challenge I've ever endured. If you look closely at some of the pictures, you will see I am questioning all of my life choices up to that point. Having said that, Hyrox was such a well organised and attended event, with such an amazing atmosphere, that I will definitely be doing another if anyone would like to join me."

Dave's JustGiving Page is still live for a short time if anyone would still like to make a donation:
