UKGI's Compliance Team Grows Again

We are delighted to have welcomed 5 new members to the UKGI compliance team over the last few months, Anthony McCloskey, Caroline Curran, Emma Sadler, Craig Service, and Robin Knowles.

Anthony and Caroline have joined the UKGI Technical Consultancy Team adding additional expertise and resource to our technical helpline and desk-based compliance support solutions. Emma, Craig and Robin join our field consultancy team supporting our membership clients with their ongoing compliance requirements.

Anthony has a 35-year career in insurance and compliance, and has a passion for helping firms meet their regulatory aims with compliance used as an enabler. His specialisms include SM&CR, governance structures, financial promotions, complaints and explaining regulatory rules in clear and simple language. He has also held Head of Compliance and Chief Risk Officer positions within an Irish branch developing a thorough understanding of Central Bank of Ireland compliance as well as FCA compliance. He has also undertaken the role of SMF17 MLRO for a small GI Mutual Insurer.

Caroline has a strong background in supporting with regulated claims management activity, business process outsourcing, governance mechanisms, consumer credit and debt management. Presently, she plays a pivotal role in supporting UKGI's growing work in the regulated funeral planning sector as well as providing vital technical support to clients on ad-hoc challenges, project work, and compliance monitoring needs.

Emma provides compliance services and support to a wide range of clients, including conducting document reviews, fair value assessments, providing guidance on regulatory matters and performing audits. Her core skills include financial promotions, product oversight and governance, compliance monitoring programmes, creating and reviewing policy documents and product disclosures. 

Craig joins us in Northern Ireland providing a local presence to our clients in this important region. Craig enjoys building long term relationships that support clients in achieving their strategic goals. He has a strong knowledge of the Financial Services Sector and is adept at making sure that the advice and support he provides is proportionate to each different client.

Robin is the latest member of the team. He has over 10 years' experience in insurance and sees real value in delivering compliant solutions to achieve business objectives. Previously he worked as a civil mediator, settling approximately 200 individual Personal Injury Claims, as well as working in an Insurtech start-up developing Crash Detection Devices, resulting in a million dollar US contract, the successful configuration and rollout of the Acturis platform inhouse, a successful Direct Authorisation Application, and appointment as an SMF3 Director.

UKGI now employs 25 technical consultants across the UK, and we are delighted by the breadth in skills and expertise that our clients continue to have access to. As a leading compliance consultancy it is important we continue to invest in our people, and in how we support our growing client base across all sectors.
