The Aviva Insurance Masterclass - Spring 2017

The first two Aviva / RWA Masterclasses have been a great success and the fact that members of the FCA supervision team joined us as presenters just heightened the quality of the debate and information flowing from speaker to delegate and back.

Having restricted attendance to insurance brokers and a few invited guests I was heartened by the incredible quality of the questions and opinions from the floor.

In the morning we covered underinsurance and the Insurance Act (as a round up of events since August 12th 2016). After lunch we went headlong into topics such as unrated insurers, vulnerability, consultation papers, IDD, supervision and management and a few other hot topics raised by the delegates.

I think the real pleasure for us as practitioners was the way the FCA team rolled up their sleeves and immersed themselves in the Masterclass atmosphere. We all learnt more about what bad really looks like and I hope that we managed to paint a good image of what a member of the profession of insurance brokers is really about.

I will be writing more once the Masterclass season is over at the end of next week but in the meantime, the FCA speakers are joining us for two more sessions in Birmingham on the 21st March, and Bristol on the 23rd March.

Aviva has found us five more places at each. If you would like to attend either the Birmingham or Bristol Masterclass events, please submit your details via the online form here.
