Jayne Skyrme to Chair Torfaen Effect – Enterprise Facilitation

We are pleased to announce that Jayne Skyrme (Business Development Manager at RWA) has been elected as Chair for Torfaen Effect Enterprise Facilitation.

The Torfaen Effect Resource Team is made of local business people who work together to provide free, independent and confidential business help and support to those looking to grow or start up their own businesses in the borough.

In the past 2 years, the project has supported 70 start-up businesses who in turn generated 80 jobs in the local area.

Torfaen Effect follows the principles of Enterprise Facilitation devised by Dr Ernesto Sirolli of the Sirolli Institute and Jayne is a trained Sirolli Facilitator, so I know that she will bring a lot of passion, expertise and skills to the role.

The team at RWA, whose Head Office is based in Torfaen, fully support Jayne in this new volunteer role and look forward to supporting the project going forward. Through engagement and connecting with people in our community we can support those looking to build their own enterprises which will ultimately lead to a more sustainable future for the borough.

Speaking to Jayne this morning, she outlined this passion by saying that, “there are plenty of self-determined, skilled people locally who with the right support can achieve anything they want. Helping people help each other is key to developing sustainability in enterprise.”

Well done, Jayne. From everyone at RWA.

If any Torfaen business leaders would like to support this initiative and join the resource panel then we would love to hear from you.

“The future of every community lies in capturing the passion, energy and imagination of its own people.” -Dr Ernesto Sirolli
