We would like to take the opportunity to thank all of those who took the time to complete this important exercise.

ORIGINAL POST:

The IDD Consultation Paper is one of the most important for the insurance broking profession and the industry generally for quite some time.

It is clear that as a profession we let the FCA down by responding very poorly to the Renewal Transparency Consultation.

It is vital that we learn our lesson and respond to this CP in force, by
giving feedback, where appropriate, to the IDD Consultation.

What we have done is to create a questionnaire. Follow this link:

We have prepared a commentary for each of the 19 questions. These are from discussions with experts and practising insurance brokers and are intended to give you ideas on how you might frame a response to the FCA if you do not agree with their proposals.

Remember, if you say nothing this signifies agreement with the FCA proposals.

30 minutes or so of your time could avoid the debacle of the Renewal Transparency Consultation!

Please let us know if you have additional or different views. We want the FCA to have a full picture of insurance brokers' opinions

If you have any questions, please contact RWA directly.
