Wales based financial services consultancy, RWA, has teamed up with the Cardiff & Vale Credit Union to deliver bespoke specialist training in areas such as FCA Regulations, Dealing with Vulnerable Customers and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
RWA’s Kirk Ford, a training and competence specialist, spent a day with Cardiff Vale Credit Union delivering the training and workshops to 20 employees and volunteers.
The session brought together two established Welsh financial services firms who share similar goals in terms of developing sustainable futures for the local economy. The training that Cardiff & Vale Credit Union received will allow them to engage in a more practical and effective way with their growing and diverse customer base.
Kirk Ford said: “Treating Customers Fairly was clearly evident within Cardiff & Vale Credit Union’s culture, and I enjoyed working with a great group of people dedicated to delivering a high level of service to their community and those accessing their services.”
Leanne Herberg, Chief Executive at Cardiff & Vale Credit Union, said: “Our compliance training with Kirk at RWA covered a strong introduction to the FCA, TCF requirements, and identifying and supporting vulnerable customers. The training was delivered in an informative and interactive way, which was suitable for a diverse group of staff and volunteers.”
Tom Wood, Chief Executive at RWA, added: “We welcome working with the Cardiff & Vale Credit Union, as we both share a vision in developing the communities within which we work. RWA’s financial services expertise covers a wide range of areas and we are glad to have been able to pass on our knowledge to support the Credit Union and their members.”
RWA’s fee for this training will be donated to a local Blaenavon children’s charity.
