Regulatory compliance and business consultancy specialists, RWA, have strengthened their business consultancy team with the key appointment of John Miller to the role of Head of Solutions. The new role has been created due to the continued growth of the company and to meet the increasing needs of their clients in both the regulatory and business support areas. John will be responsible for driving the service forward and helping RWA clients meet their own business goals.

RWA is delighted to announce that David Abbott joins our insurance broker solutions consultancy team. David has a diverse background in both IT and insurance broking having spent over 20 years at Hewlett Packard before starting his own insurance brokerage in 2001 which he later sold in 2013.

Another initiative where Aviva has been involved is the Meeting Recorder app, developed by consultancy firm RWA and funded by the insurer. Tom Wood, director at RWA Business Consultancy, explains that the app allows brokers to create a record of when they have been to see a client, using their GPS. They can also add notes on what has been said in the meeting. “So if there is a claim they can say they have evidence that they went to see the client on that day and show a copy of the notes they made,” he says, adding that a copy of the record can also be sent to the client.
