So, you have mapped out your data, trained your staff, written your policies, published your statements, checked your consents and created the necessary procedures in readiness for the implementation of GDPR on May 25th.
You can now sit back and relax, right?
Hmmmm, probably, but can you be 100% sure that your plans and procedures are compliant?
How can you be certain that you are on the right track?
To help clients finalise their GDPR readiness plans, RWA has developed an audit, which serves as a ‘strength test’ of a firm’s preparations for the new regulation.
The audit process reviews the current status of an organisation’s preparations and highlights any areas which require further attention.
Delivered over a day-long session, the audit will challenge firms to evidence how they meet the various regulatory obligations of GDPR. The audit process is followed by a report which details the findings of the process.
As a result of the audit, those firms with advanced plans will have objective feedback, which confirms if they are ready for May 25th. This report will add further weight to the accountability requirement of GDPR, by documenting an external and independent challenge which has strength tested data protection arrangements.
Those firms that are not yet ready for the implementation of GDPR will, as a result of the audit, have a better understanding of what needs to be done.
